
Trey Dean
Senior Director, Global Environmental Health & Safety
Trey Dean serves as senior director, global environmental health and safety at Vantage Data Centers. He is responsible for leading the company’s EHS program around the world.
Dean has more than 20 years of experience scaling global health, safety and risk management programs across construction, operations, logistics, compliance and human resources. Prior to Vantage, Dean worked to lower incident rates for several organizations by more than 50% by outlining and proposing strategic plans at LowRisq, a consulting company he founded. As health and safety director at the University of Virginia, he drove sweeping safety improvements for the University’s staff, students and capital projects.
Dean holds a Bachelor of Science degree in geography and cartography from the University of Georgia and a Master of Science degree in occupational safety management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. As part of his focus on health and safety, Dean is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals and has been authorized as a trainer by the OSHA Safety Training Institute.
